Mohammed Nagaman Lateef currently serves as the Talent Head for the Hoonur division across Balaji Telefilms, Balaji Motion Pictures and Balaji Digital. In his role, he is involved in talent acquisition, casting and building the celebrity ecosystem for major television and reality entertainment projects.

Alongside his work in the entertainment industry, Mohammed also hosts the interview podcast Honestly, Why Not? with MNL, where he engages in conversations with personalities from the entertainment and creative industries.

Talking about the exhibition, Megha shared, “Charru is my cousin, and she runs her business, House of Vitti India. She hails from Delhi. The exhibition was mainly focused on wedding collections and specialised in wedding wear. I attended the exhibition with Chitra Vakil Sharma, and the experience was really nice. We got to see many beautiful collections.”

With the festive season beginning with celebrations like Ganpati and Diwali, Megha also revealed that she and Chitra came across several collections they liked and ended up making a few purchases.

House of Vitti India was launched in 2023, but its inspiration goes back much further. The brand was born from its founder's childhood memories of summers spent at her Nani's house in Punjab, where she would buy beautiful juttis that often lacked durability and comfort.

The brand aims to bring together traditional craftsmanship and everyday comfort. Its designs feature tightly stitched soles and double cushioning, while the name Vitti reflects the idea of skill and craftsmanship. The brand also places emphasis on celebrating the work of its karigars while creating footwear that can withstand regular wear.

"The camera has taught me that insecurity is universal. It doesn't discriminate between celebrities, entrepreneurs, brides, or someone walking into a salon for the first time," he said.

Over the years, he has seen even the most confident public figures question the smallest details about their appearance. "I've seen people admired by millions still worry about a tiny detail that nobody else would notice. The camera magnifies not only our features but often the stories we tell ourselves," he said.

Those experiences have also changed the way Florian views his own role as a hairstylist. For him, the job goes beyond creating a polished look. "I've realised that my role isn't simply to make someone look beautiful on camera. It's to help them stop focusing on what they think is wrong and start seeing everything that is already right," he said.

He believes the real magic happens when people stop worrying about how they look and simply enjoy the moment. "When someone forgets about the camera and simply enjoys the moment, that's when they become truly photogenic," he said.

Reflecting on how social media has reshaped beauty standards, Florian believes the impact has been both empowering and challenging. "In many ways, it's both," he said.

On one hand, he appreciates how digital platforms have made beauty more inclusive and accessible. "Social media has made beauty more accessible than ever. People can discover trends, techniques, products, and inspiration from every corner of the world. There is far more representation today than there was a decade ago, and that's something worth celebrating," he said.

At the same time, he feels constant exposure to highly curated images has created unrealistic expectations. He added, “We compare our everyday selves to someone else's carefully curated highlight reel.”

Despite these challenges, Florian is optimistic about where the beauty industry is headed. "I believe the future of beauty isn't about looking like everyone else, it's about understanding what suits you. Individuality is becoming the new luxury, and that's a far healthier direction for the industry," he said.

Beyond styling hair, Florian says the salon has become a place where people often open up in unexpected ways. "A salon chair becomes an unexpected place of honesty. A place where people genuinely slow down. They arrive asking for a haircut or a colour, but very often they leave having shared stories about their careers, relationships, fears, or dreams," he said.

Listening to these stories over the years has taught him an important lesson about people.

"I've learned that no matter how successful or accomplished someone appears, everyone wants to feel seen, heard, and accepted," he said.

For him, hair is closely connected to life's defining moments, making his work deeply personal. "Hair is deeply emotional. It marks new beginnings after heartbreak, celebrations before weddings, career milestones, or simply the need for a fresh chapter. When you spend years listening to people, you realize we're all far more alike than different," Florian ended.

Romantic comedies often rely on familiar formulas, but Dulhaniya Le Aaeegi arrives with a refreshing premise that instantly stands out. Instead of waiting for the groom to arrive at the wedding, the bride is forced to search for a replacement groom just hours before the ceremony. Built around this quirky idea, the film blends comedy, emotions and family values into an entertaining package that keeps the audience engaged from beginning to end.

What makes the story work is that beneath all the laughter lies a heartfelt emotional conflict. It asks a simple yet compelling question—what should a woman do when she discovers, just before her wedding, that the man she is about to marry is abusive and unworthy? Cancel the wedding and break her father's heart, or somehow find another groom before the rituals begin? The film finds plenty of humour in this unusual situation while never losing sight of its emotional core.

Story

Navya (Khushali Kumar) is a successful HR Head whose wedding preparations are complete. Her father, Devi Prasad (Mahesh Manjrekar), has only one dream—to see his daughter happily married. But just a day before the wedding, Navya uncovers the ugly truth about her fiancé and realises she cannot spend her life with him.

The problem, however, goes far beyond a broken engagement. Devi Prasad's fragile health cannot withstand the shock of a cancelled wedding. Determined to protect him, Navya comes up with an extraordinary plan—to find another groom who is willing to marry her at the same mandap without letting her father discover the truth.

Her unusual mission is supported by her uncle, her closest friend Ragini (Snehil Dixit), and a series of colourful characters who keep complicating the situation. Former lovers return, marriage brokers create chaos, social media influencers add to the confusion, and every new encounter leads to another comic twist. While the screenplay is packed with entertaining moments, it also speaks about trust, compatibility and making the right life decisions.

Direction

Director Akashaditya Lama handles the unconventional subject with confidence and simplicity. Rather than turning the film into an over-the-top farce, he keeps the emotions grounded, allowing the humour to emerge naturally from the situations.

Writers Jayant Gupta and Anupriya Roy deserve credit for balancing comedy with genuine emotional moments. The screenplay captures the atmosphere of a middle-class Indian wedding, highlighting both traditional family values and the changing outlook of today's generation.
