How did she prepare for the role? Aarvika explains, “Honestly, I didn’t know how to prepare for such a role. But once I transformed my look through makeup, felt the character through costumes, and started shooting in the real locations of Kamathipura, I naturally began to feel Champa’s emotions. Shooting in Kamathipura was an experience I will never forget. Most of the scenes were shot on location, giving us a close look at the lives of prostitutes. We even saw people living that life while filming there. I stayed in the moment and played the role authentically. If I had prepared in advance, it wouldn’t have felt as real. What I felt on set, in that look, was genuine. Director Ravi Jadhav was my guiding light throughout the shooting.”

She adds, “To look weak and portray an HIV-positive person, I avoided eating and drinking water on set until my pack-up. My throat would stay dry, and I’d genuinely feel weak and restless—something that reflected on my face. I also avoided laughing much, as I wanted to stay in character. Despite all this, I truly enjoyed the shoot and learned that when you are hungry for good work, you can put everything aside and focus solely on perfecting your role.”

In recent years, there has been a noticeable rise in OTT platforms in India. Sharing her thoughts on this, Aarvika says, “Chidiya Udd is streaming for free, so I feel more people have been able to watch and appreciate it. Every character performed exceptionally well, and streaming the series on a big platform like Amazon for free has helped us reach a wider audience.”

OTT shows and films often include bold scenes. Was Aarvika conscious of this while taking up the role of Champa in Chidiya Udd? She says, “I didn’t have any bold scenes because my character was HIV-positive and in a dying condition. In fact, after receiving the brief, I didn’t even think about bold scenes. As an actor, it’s essential to know your boundaries. With the variety of content being made today, it’s up to you to decide how far you want to go. I make sure to choose roles and content that my parents can proudly watch.”

Aarvika is thrilled with the positive response to her performance. She shares, “I’ve been receiving a lot of appreciation and best wishes. People sympathize with Champa but also question why she sold her best friend for drugs. I’m happy that my performance came across as real and natural. Some people even said that if Sayani Gupta had played the role, she would have performed similarly. Being compared to Sayani Gupta’s performance is a huge compliment for me.”

Talking about her character, she said, “During the script reading, our writer Meenakshi went through the script, and after hearing it, I suggested that the girl's name should be Khwahish because she has so many dreams and so much ambition within her. But Meenakshi corrected me, saying, 'No, this is Nikki – the one who always speaks her mind, acts quickly, and gets things done in a flash.'”

“That moment stayed with me, and I realized Nikki is full of life. She’s a patakha, a strong, vibrant, and such a happy soul,” she added.

Though she shared that Nikki is mostly the same as her off-screen personality, she confessed that they are a little different. “A part of me is, yes, very much like her. I am very straightforward—on the face, always a happy girl, fun, and bubbly. But yes, Nikki’s energy is on another level, and I don’t think I can match up to that,” she said.

Ayesha is paired opposite Karan V Grover in the series and said that she is having an amazing time shooting with her co-stars on and off camera. “I think I am blessed to be working with such actors. Karan, Chirag, Meenakshi, Swati ji, Kamal, and oh, Nirmal ma’am—whenever I see her perform, it is such a joy, and I am always excited to see her shooting. She tracked all the way from Ludhiana, shot, and headed back home. She is honestly a very hardworking woman,” she said.

“Karan, of course, he is a fabulous actor and an amazing human being. I thought he would be a very serious person, but oh my, he is such a fun-loving person. We have a very good bond, and I am really going to miss everyone,” she added.

She also mentioned that working with Ravie and Sargun has been a blessing for her. “What can I even say about Sargun ma’am? She has always been an inspiration. A producer, entrepreneur, actor—you name it, and she is it. I really look up to her. I respect her more than I love her. She is so hardworking. Whenever she is on set, I am the happiest person. I am literally the person standing with sparkling eyes, seeing her. I really love her,” she said.


“And Ravie bhaiya—the voice in our trailer. I am his fan. All these years, he has given us entertainment to the core. I feel films can be made by everyone, but to have that creative mind and to put in all your efforts is not everyone’s cup of tea, but yes, Ravie bhaiya’s. They both know the art to present things to their audience,” Ayesha ended.

Actor Aniruddh Dave is currently enjoying all the praise for his portrayal of police officer Dushyant Thakur in the popular webseries Thukra Ke Mera Pyar. The show is directed by Shraddha Pasi and apart from Aniruddh Dave, the series stars Dhaval Thakur and Sanchita Basu as leads. The show has garnered all the love from the viewers and also the most watched show in recent times. Sharing more on the feedback, Aniruddh says, "The way series has been appreciated by the audience I am very happy. The writer of the series is Kamal Pandey who has written it beautifully and he is the one who approached me for Dushyant’s role. I saw potential in the character and hence took it up.”

He also adds,”I feel the reason why audiences are liking the series is because it's unique and refreshing as it explores career orientation, college life, and the dreams and aspirations of the youth. And this genre is definitely my favourite genre as the story revolves around an aspirant preparing for the UPSC who falls in love. To me the best part of Dushyant is that he is loveable, fearless and relatable to me.”

This is not the first time Aniruddh is playing the role of a police officer, we have seen him playing a police officer in the television show Patiala Babes. He says,”After so many years of acting I still approach a role in a new method and always start with a fresh take. Honestly wearing the uniform is always a great feeling and at the same time I take extra caution to play it with my utmost honesty. For this particular role I have maintained a certain body language and I have worked on my dialect, because it’s different. I also had a great time working with Sanchita in the series. I have some great scenes with her in the series and I am glad it has been well received.”

The actor also shares his experience of working in Chandu Champion which is something he will always remember. He says,”After Chandu the industry knows me with my name and what else I can ask for. I see myself working in greater and bigger projects in 2025. Web content is something I am looking forward to, I am an actor who is always hungry for meaningful roles, good story as to me my craft is more precious than anything.”

Imran Khan, who will be seen in ALTT’s Dons And Darlings, calls the name of the series interesting. He said, “Dons and Darlings is a very modern name. It feels like one of those titles from a Martin Scorsese film. The title doesn’t have any glamour, but it’s very apt for the story. There are dolls, and there are dons. Unfortunately, I’m playing one of the dons.”

Talking about his character, he said, “It’s a self-made journey, from rags to where he has reached now. He started as a small-time vendor, maybe selling things in local trains and public places. His character shows significant growth. He’s ambitious and wants to achieve everything: power, money, and the underworld. Once he gets the money, he believes the next step is power. So, he wants to enter politics and win elections.”

He also believes that the audience will be able to relate to his character’s determined self. He said, “By hook or by crook, he’s determined to climb the ladder of success. He will leave no stone unturned. That’s the essence of the character, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing him.”

Imran enjoyed working with his co-stars and said he had a great time. “I haven’t worked much with them before, but in the scenes we’ve shared, I’ve felt great chemistry with all of them,” he said.

He also shared his experience of working with ALTT and said, “I enjoyed collaborating with the director, Jeetu Arora, and the second unit director, Romy G. They were fantastic. Being a director’s actor, I love following instructions and giving my best, which I believe I did.”

The show delves into the world of dating apps and social media, themes Hardik believes are highly relevant today. “Most young people are on dating apps, trusting strangers without knowing the risks involved,” he said. “While these platforms can connect people with genuine intentions, there are always predators. The show helps viewers understand these risks and become more aware.”

Hardik also highlighted the show’s potential to educate youth about the darker aspects of social media. “Young people are smart, but the newer users need to be made aware of the consequences of overusing these apps. They must learn to cross-check profiles instead of blindly trusting them,” he said.  The topic of validation is central to the show, with Hardik noting that today’s generation seeks validation through social media likes and reels. “We are social animals, and now, the new way to seek validation is through content creation. It’s a trend that’s reshaping how we connect with each other.” Opening up about his own experience with social media’s dangers, Hardik shared, “Before COVID, someone created a fake account of mine on a dating app using my public images, and it led to a lot of misunderstandings with friends.”  As an artist, Hardik views social media as a double-edged sword. “It inspires me creatively and pushes me to do more, but the constant comparison—followers, likes, and shallow content—really irritates me,” he confessed.

Despite the drawbacks, he acknowledges that social media helps keep him connected. “Sometimes, it makes me feel disconnected from family and friends because everyone’s online now. Offline time is at a minimum. But on the flip side, sharing reels and content has become a new way to stay in touch with people.”

In the fast-paced world of social media, Hardik stresses that there’s more at stake than just online presence. “As an actor, your craft is what truly matters. Social media can help you get work, but the ability to deliver and uphold your ethics is crucial,” he concluded.
