Rajasthan
has long been a preferred backdrop for Bollywood and Hollywood films.
Movies can elevate a destination’s global standing, as seen with
Satyajit Ray’s 1974 classic ‘Sonar Kella’ (The Golden Fortress), which
brought international recognition to Jaisalmer Fort. Its intriguing
themes of reincarnation and mystery drew tourists, particularly from
Bengal and other states, a trend that continues even today. Similarly,
IIFA 2025 will put diverse tourism attractions of Rajasthan on the
global stage which will further enhance its appeal.
