Salman Khan Returns as Host for 'Bigg Boss 17'

As the curtain rose on the contestant introductions, Salman Khan introduced the first housemate, model and actor Mannara Chopra. Mannara, the paternal cousin of Bollywood stars Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra, marked her entry into the film industry with 'Zid.' Salman emphasized Mannara's exceptional talent, stating, "The industry has its share of Chopras, and now, we have Mannara. She's here not because of connections but due to her outstanding talent, particularly in South Indian cinema."

During the introduction, Mannara's recent kissing controversy was addressed. Mannara clarified, "My director, in a fatherly gesture, kissed me on the cheek after a long time. It was meant to be an innocent expression of affection, but it unexpectedly turned into a viral sensation, prompting me to come to Mumbai to address it."

Mannara selected the "Dil" house as her abode, where she will play a crucial role in ensuring that contestants abide by the rules and expected decorum within the Bigg Boss house.

The second contender to step into the 'Bigg Boss' house was Munawar Faruqui. He revealed that he was previously approached to host the show in the last season, but the deal fell through due to financial complications. During his introduction, Salman Khan also encouraged Munawar to share some Shayari.
